Networking Events EU-Balkan-FABNET understands the importance of networking in the effort for an improved participation of researchers from the Western Balkans in FP7 projects. To that end, the various information multipliers established and operating in the Western Balkans can significantly facilitate the involvement of individual participants in FP7 projects. The partners have compiled a list of such multipliers, which is available here: In addition to encouraging interaction with multipliers, EU-Balkan-FABNET also understands the need for networking of the researchers themselves. Thus, the project has foreseen (limited) resources that can researchers in their participation in international events with networking potential and high relevance to the content of the calls in the “Food, Agriculture and Biotechnology” theme of FP7. "TRUEFOOD FOR LIFE: First research results to boost innovation in the traditional food industry sector", 21st October 2008, Paris (parallel to the SIAL food exhibition) The conference will be a one-day event organised as a series of panels, featuring interventions from key project partners and high profile guest speakers. The scheduled panels cover a wide range of topics, ranging from consumer attitudes towards traditional products to the safety aspects of such products and the opportunities for the SMEs of the sector that current research results offer. The programme of the conference is available at the CIAA website. The project can provide fincancial support, in the form of partial reimburshement of costs, for the participation of a limited number of researchers from the Western Balkan countires (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia).Interested researchers should contact their local project partner, regarding availability, funding terms and application procedure.
